Looking southwards along the hills to the British camp with the Beacon behind.
This was easily my most challenging piece to date. I spent days mentally rehearsing the sky, and even when I finally sat down to paint, I spent an hour just visualizing the process. With watercolor, there’s no room for hesitation—you have to be fast, fluid, and fearless. I’m so happy with how this one turned out.
